Diane was looking simply stunning, Ryan on the other hand was just looking stunned more than anything, and who can blame him! but the weather was good, the venue had lots to offer for good images, and the couple were up for anything – so it was all systems go!

So, their big day came around and it was held in Cornhill House .. which is located just outside Biggar – if you’re in the area, try the food, seriously it’s totally yummy!

As always the weather was typically Scottish, freezing, and with a North wind that cut right through us   however this didn’t deter our brave couple, who were quite up for doing whatever it took to get good images … and I think you’ll agree .. they did

So, the month of May is here, and of course that means that the wedding season is almost right on top of us now, so it’s all systems go at the James Solly Headquarters  

What is it they say about getting no rest and being wicked?

Linda and Andrew have actually just had their wedding, so I thought I’d put up a few shots from their recent E-Shoot

They opted for their local park, as Andrew has many good childhood memories there, so it was actually an Engagement Session held down “memory lane”

Well, there have been big changes to the website over the last 24 hours!!

The “Client Zone” area is still in the same place, it’s just changed .. a lot!

You can now order super high quality prints of your favourite images from the website – directly to you!

Clicking into the “Client Zone” now takes you out of the main website, and off to a new area where you will be able to see different client galleries (just a few just now though – as we migrate others across)

Simply click the “Client Zone” link on the website, and then select the gallery that is yours, (or that of your Bride and Groom), enter the correct password and voila! you can now see all of the final Engagement Shoot and/or Wedding images  

The best thing about this new system, is after you have viewed the images you can now buy them too .. Yay!!

It’s as simple as clicking the image or images you want to purchase, and then clicking the “Buy” button at the top right.

Simply select the product that you would like, print, or canvas, and then the size that best suits the image. You can do this for as many images as you like. After that, just follow the prompts through to the check out – and it really is as simple as buying anything else online.   

Your selected images are then processed and printed at one of the best printing companies in the UK, and sent to you direct

Hello Blog viewers, yes I know, you’ve all been on my case about getting another event blogged. My apologies, the last few weeks have been rather hectic, so just for you, I’m back on the writing scene again

I’ll admit that I have lots of stuff to be blogging, it’s just trying to find the time … so bear with me.  There will also be some super exciting news coming soon about the website, as it’s getting some exciting new features shortly, Yay!

Susan and Barry held their big day at St Columba’s in Viewpark, then it was off to the ever popular Alona hotel which is inside Strathclyde Park. As always, here are just a few of the shots that we got on the big day!

It’s now time for all you “East Coasters” to have your chance

The course is not aimed solely at beginners, as we will cover a lot of ground, such as: aperture, shutter speed, ISO, composition, Focus and much much more, so it’s also good for those that feel they haven’t quite grasped all of the fundamentals of photography, no matter what stage they may be at now.

This course will form the solid foundation that all of your future knowledge will be built upon.

It is taking place on Sunday April 29th, and will run from 10am, until around 4pm. The course is being held in the Roxburghe Hotel which is in Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, so it’s easy to get to whether you are driving, or taking public transport.
