I’ve been meaning to post this for some time, so today, I found the time to get it onto the Blog at long last.

Vicki and Roy held their Engagement Session at Rouken Glen Country Park near Glasgow.

Here are a few images from their Shoot

Of course a “silhouette shot” was a must have, especially with the water behind them James Solly Photography

For the second half of the shoot, the rest of the family joined us. This was a very cute family shot I thought. James Solly Photography

Then some kids only shots – first off, it was the turn of Sophie to take the limelight… James Solly Photography

Then I decided to do a very Artistic one of Iain, who was rather bemused at the whole idea! But I think it works … James Solly Photography

Lastly Sophie was going to practise her artistic “Puddle Jumping” techniques … which I have to say, she was very good at ! James Solly Photography

As you’ll remember Carly and Craig had their E-Shoot near Bothwell Castle recently. The wedding was recently held at New Lanark Mill Hotel.

The morning started off early with me at the Hotel shooting the girls getting ready. That was fun as you’ll see. The ceremony was then held at the hotel, with the group shots and the formal bridal shots being held outside. The weather didn’t really want to play nicely with us, and it was threatening rain for most of the day, with the occasional shower, but it is Scotland after all :-)

Carly’s stunning dress

Yes, I know – this could be an advert for Greggs, “Eat regularly at Greggs and you too can look as good as us” ;-)

I liked this shot of Carly sitting in the window – it works well in “Sepia” James Solly Photography

Now, this is actually Carly sitting on the carpet in the room … it took a fair amount of effort to clear all the furniture around her to get the background as clean and clear as I wanted it to be – but I think the end result speaks for itself.

Just a shot of Carly playing around with her veil – I loved this shot James Solly Photography

The Men !

The rings going on – a difficult shot to catch when you’re 60 feet away at the back of the room ;-)

Just a few of the formals shots that we got on the day James Solly Photography

This young lady was determined to get in all the action – so we let her !

Yes, another one of my “alternative” bridal party shots – works well I think James Solly Photography

Craig’s speech had everyone laughing, and at times cringing !

A cute moment from the first dance       James Solly Photography    Carly and Craig – we certainly had a lot of fun on the day ;-)     Let me wish you both all the very best in the years to come

Carly and Craig recently had their Engagement Session, at Bothwell Castle and the surrounding area. Their wedding was actually at New Lanark Mill Hotel, but as the Castle was closer to home, we decided that it would give us the chance to see if we could add some different surroundings to the E-Shoot images.

Outside of The Castle has some neat little areas that we used quite well.

We then went for a walk along the banks of the river … James Solly Photography

There is a large walkway across the river, which gave us some opportunity for a few shots with a different feel to them ..  James Solly Photography

I liked this idea ..

Loved this shot

Bothwell Castle in the background …

Inside the Castle grounds for a few shots James Solly Photography

This wasn’t what I was really looking for when we shot it, but it turned out quite well in the end ..

Finally, a selective colour shot to end with .. look at the texture on that wall !!! James Solly Photography

The wedding is not long over, and I’ll be posting a few images here soon, so keep watching !
